Hello and welcome to dannyobillo.com!

It's been a little while since I started creating this site, and now it's finally ready for everyone to visit - and for me to forget about for a little while.

It's been a tough old year most definitely, but I have faith that all this stuff going on in the world will make us all stronger. Or at least most of us. Some of us. A few will do...

I created the site so that I can keep track of my own sprawling reach in terms of writing-related projects (I am both a writer and editor by trade), and to build an honest platform sharing with you my passion for creating fiction (mainly) that pushes the boat out slightly. It has been a struggle, but hopefully now I can easily share with all of you all of that stuff in my head... wait!

It isn't even about all of that. I see it as my job is to simply verbalise - in print - Those thoughts and those ideas that most of us struggle to express in words and with that, I hope you can support my efforts in simply trying to make y'all think, smile, laugh, cry, smash your laptops and talk to each other again. Safely.

Available to buy in paperback is The Philosopher Joel, a hat-tip to the provincial towns of the Philippines, of where both sides of my family originate. It is also a love letter to all the elders who have passed onto me (inadvertently) me their own unique wisdom and perspectives on life!

Please feel free to have a wander around. It is a labour of love, and it did go through a few incarnations and survived a few personal tragedies on the way. But here it is. Please enjoy!
