Good day all!

With the writing for Kazumph! finished, and with its layout in its final stages, I now have a little more time to update the blog. The final touches are being sprinkled onto the book and we are preparing for its June release.

To be perfectly honest, I have always been pretty bad with updates, I've had blogs before, and they have never lasted much more than a few months due to my own wayward nature! So, in an attempt to fix this blind spot, I have prepared a few extra things on the website.

If you have the time, please follow A Tree In Bani's IG page where I have been regularly posting short micro-fictions to twist your brain a little. In fact, I have also compiled a few of these on the site, which I will be updating once they are in nice batches.

Syntax Error is an old concept I had developed from my very from my very first (now defunct) blog. It collects small thought pieces into easily digestible stories, akin to somehow connecting a projector straight into my head. The flashes are crude mind maps, which can be easily flicked through - much better than me taking screencaps of my sprawling notepads!

Hopefully these pieces give you a glimpse into my process when writing. I still do consider myself a short story fiction writer - that is what I am in essence, that is how Teardrops on the Lea was formed, it is also how my older work, The Exquisite Abstract has conceived (more on that title in an upcoming blog). Both can be bought here.

But thinking about it a little more deeply, in essence we are all short story writers. We all collect those little anecdotes to share with others, we are all quick to relate others' experiences to our own quirks of observation.

So with the inclusion of Syntax Error on the site, I have unwittingly revamped the entire website, to make it cleaner and more accessible. I was happy with it before, but now I'm far more confident with the outcome. I think this habit of updating and reacting to my own instincts may deserve its own blog post...

But this is how it goes. Loads of ideas, far too many if I'm being honest, too little time, and a natural reluctance to update blog posts! The KAZUMPH WEBSITE, though is different. That is coming out soon!
